WIP for Project 1

For this project, I have used AutoCAD and 3ds Max.

Firstly, I drew the floor plans, roof plan and the elevations using polylines in AutoCAD.

Then, I imported the CAD file into 3ds Max as one object. Next, I converted them into editable spline and detached each element into respective group.

The next step would be raising up the planes and snap them into precise location with the floor plans.

After hiding the elevations which were not needed at the moment, I then extruded the platform, ground and first floor plans, slab as well as the roof.

By using Boolean, I cut through the selected part of walls which windows and doors to be put in later.

Under Geometry tool box, I selected doors and windows template to create the doors and windows with respective sizes.

When everything is done, I then snap the first floor plan and roof plan in respective with the location of ground floor to establish the entire building.

Then after, I chose the building materials from the templates referring to the real building. The final stage would be rendering the whole building.

Third lesson

During this lesson, we are taught to import drawn floor plan and elevations to 3ds Max. From there, we created the walls, four facades as well as the cut out space for placement of doors and windows using Boolean command.

After rendering

First lesson

First lesson, we are taught with the basic command to create 3D objects
